Summer Music in Vienna is in its 9th season and features local and regional professional musicians in a series of 4 concerts on successive Sundays in August. The performers and the concerts are a mix of genres. This year, the 4 concerts are: "Prodigies- Tomorrow's Stars" featuring Flautist- Julie Mosengo, Violinist Hannah Kang, Cellist- Brian Gadbow, Tenor- Mike McCormick in solo performances on August 6th, "Jazz in the Afternoon" featuring “Doctuh” Michael Woods- bass, joined by Steven Wu-piano, and Rick Compton-drums on August 13th, Tenor Richard Crawley in Recital on August 20th. Crawley lives in Camden and enjoys an international as a singer, regional reputation as a voice teacher. Classics Concert with the Jewell Chamber Players comprised of Symphoria Chairs Peter Rovit-violin, Gregpry Wood-cello, and Central New York musician Sar-Shalom Strong-piano with music of Mozart, Smetna, and Turina on August 27th. All concerts are at the handicapped accessible, climate controlled comfortable seating Vienna United Methodist Church St. Rte 49, North Bay, NY just north of Sylvan Beach on Oneida Lake. Summer Music in Vienna is presented under the auspices of the Historical Association of Vienna.
