Fifteen-year-old Clark Benjamin, of Trumansburg, NY will make his debut as guest artist with concert of old time fiddle music, His concert will culminate a weekend with 30 youngsters at NYSOTFA's annual Kids' Kamp. This free concert is funded in part by the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of Gov.Cuomo and the NYS Legislature. Clark recently completed his freshman year as a high honor student at Trumansburg Central School, where he played bassoon in the high school band. Clark showed an early interest in music and was very fortunate to begin lessons at age 7 with Bill Gregg. He quickly learned some basic tunes and enjoyed traditional fiddle music. Clark has participated in many local talent shows and played multiple times at the Old-Time Fiddlers' Fair at the Genesee Country Museum, accompanied by Bill Gregg on guitar. He enjoys jamming at gatherings when he can. When he's not fiddling, Clark's other passion is honey bees. He has grown his business from just one hobby hive to sixty in the past four years. Clark enjoys talking with people and sharing what he's learned - be it fiddling, music, honey or bees.
