Tuesday's federal primary in New York state was marked by low turnout. New York's primaries were split into three dates this year, with a presidential primary in April, Tuesday's Congressional primary and a September primary for state Senate and Assembly candidates. Experts believe having a primary in June, which is not traditional for New York, contributed to the low turnout. But, it is now known who will be on the ballot for Congress in November.

New York Senator Charles Schumer is pushing a new bill that he says would help bring outsourced jobs back to upstate New York.

The bill would provide a 20 percent tax credit for businesses that bring outsourced jobs back to the US as well as close tax loopholes for companies that ship jobs overseas.

Newt Gingrich finished third, with 12.9% and Rick Santorum picked up 9% of the vote, despite dropping out of the race earlier this month.

Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick held a news conference in Syracuse Wednesday, where he announced that his office is ending its grand jury investigation into sexual abuse allegations against Bernie Fine.
During the news conference, Fitzpatrick said Bobby Davis and Mike Lang, the first two alleged victims are credible, but he cannot bring charges against Fine because the statute of limitations has expired. Davis and Lang say they were abused by Fine from the early 80s until the late 90s.

The long time assistant men’s basketball coach at Syracuse University has been placed on administrative leave, after two former team ball boys have accused him of sexual abuse.

Bernie Fine has been S.U.’s assistant basketball coach for 35 years. Former ball boy Bobby Davis, who’s now 39, told ESPN that he was molested by Fine beginning in 1984 and lasting more than 10 years.
