American RadioWorks - Gangster Confidential
For 20 years, Réne Enríquez fought his way to the top of one of America's most ruthless gangs. He killed and ordered the deaths of gang rivals on Southern California streets and behind bars. Then he had a change of heart. "Gangster Confidential" follows Enríquez's quest for redemption and freedom inside America's most brutal prison system. This documentary draws on unprecedented access to California jails and prisons and more than 30 hours of audio diaries recorded by Enríquez.  Here the feature again...

America Abroad Media:
The Catholic Church is one of the world’s longest-standing institutions and throughout its history has played a unique role on the global stage. The Church figured prominently in the fall of communism and has contributed to solving conflicts across the globe. At the same time that the Church ministers to more than one billion Catholics worldwide, its legions of clergy and diplomats also carry on the faith’s tradition of involvement in global matters, by promoting development, advocating its position on reproductive rights and building peace. On this edition of America Abroad, we’ll travel to the Vatican to explore its foreign policy machinery and to Colombia to look at the Church’s attempts to build peace in a troubled country.
