Ann Marie Buerkle On The Debt Ceiling Debate

Oswego, NY – The Republicans running the House of Representatives failed last night to hold a vote on a plan to raise the federal debt limit and cut into the federal deficit. It appears there were not enough Republican votes for the plan being pushed by the party leadership. One of the "yes" votes for the plan is Syracuse Congresswoman Ann Marie Buerkle. Buerkle spoke with WRVO's Joyce Gramza Thursday evening when a vote last night still appeared likely. She began by explaining her view of how the leadership's plan came to be.
