Candidates for Governor Debate

Hempsted, NY – Tonight is the first New York State Gubernatorial debate, which will include all seven candidates in the race. News 12 Long Island's Doug Geed, Newsday's Joye Brown, and News 12 Westchester/Hudson Valley's Brian Conybeare moderate the event on Monday, October 18 at 7:00 p.m.

The debate will be held in front of a live audience of invited guests, including community members, local leaders, and Hofstra students. All seven candidates in the race have been invited to attend, and have confirmed:

* Charles Barron (Freedom Party)
* Andrew Cuomo (Democratic/Independence/and Working Families Parties)
* Kristin Davis (Anti-Prohibition Party)
* Howie Hawkins (Green Party)
* Jimmy McMillan (Rent is 2 Damn High Party)
* Carl Paladino (Republican/Conservative/Taxpayers Parties)
* Warren Redlich (Libertarian Party)
