Public trust in government—especially the federal government—is at a modern all-time low point. What are the biggest challenges to a well-run government? What are the best ideas for improving it? He also deals with projections for the long-term financial solvency of the government, as well as overseeing the effective implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act—better known as the stimulus package. In this conversation he engages all those topics, and explains why this is actually an exciting time to be involved in government service.
