Democratic county chairs are one step closer to finding a candidate to run against Republican Dede Scozzafava in New York's 23rd Congressional District race.
The Democrats have a pool of 11 candidates to choose from.

The seat will become open when Republican Rep. John McHugh (NY-23) is officially confirmend as the US Secretary of the Army.
McHugh's hearing is scheduled for Thursday morning.
