Expressive writing and how it can be good for your health

Aug 25, 2017

There are a number of way you can improve your health. You can eat right and you can exercise, among other things. But there's research that shows that writing down your thoughts can also have a significant impact on your health.

This week on WRVO's Health and wellness show, Take Care, hosts Lorraine Rapp and Linda Lowen speak with Dr. James Pennebaker, a professor of psychology and executive director of Project 2021 at the University of Texas at Austin. They discuss what expressive writing is and why it can be good for your health.

You can hear more of this conversation on Take Care, WRVO's health and wellness show, Saturdays at 6:30 a.m. and Sunday at 6:30 p.m.. Support for this story comes from the Health Foundation for Western and Central New York.
