New Regional Science Fair and Workshop

Oswego, NY – Efforts are underway, to make science and engineering more attractive to pre-collegiate students in Upstate New York.

Jefferson Community College and the Sci-Tech Center of Northern New York is offering the Free Family Science Adventure this Saturday. The event is in an effort to prepare students in grades 5-12 for competition in a new regional science fair in the spring...which will have a $24,000 scholarship to award.

WRVO's Jasmyn Belcher spoke with director of the Tri-Region Science and Engineering Fair, Mary Eileen Wood.

Families must preregister by calling the SciTech Center in Watertown
788-1340 or by emailing trsef@verizon.net. The event is from 1pm-4pm.
