For One Arizona Bride, Something Blew

ARI SHAPIRO, HOST:

Good morning, I'm Ari Shapiro. The wedding video starts normally enough. A slight breeze rustles the bride's veil, they begin a sand ceremony, pouring two bottles of sand into one to represent their union. Then a lot more arrived. A full-fledged Arizona sand storm blasts through, turning the scene dusty red. But the ceremony continues. There wasn't enough time to get anyone inside, the bride told the local TV station, so we just had to keep it moving. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
