Preview: Eric Kingson on the Campbell Conversations

When the House of Representatives voted recently to defund Planned Parenthood, central New York Republican Rep. John Katko (R-Camillus) said he voted to stop funding the organization temporarily while the House investigated a series of videos allegedly showing Planned Parenthood executives discussing the sale of fetal body parts for research -- which is illegal. But the man who is hoping to unseat Katko next year says House Republicans are trying to destroy a nearly 100-year-old organization simply for political gain.

Eric Kingson, a professor of social and public policy at Syracuse University, says Congress should spend more time worrying about children currently living in poverty than taking away medical services for women.

You can hear more from Kingson on this and other issues this Sunday on WRVO. Join us for the Campbell Conversations Sunday at 6 p.m.
