Programming changes coming in 2016

WRVO is making a few minor changes to the weekend program schedule starting in 2016. The majority of these changes will take effect on Saturday, January 2. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect:

We're adding broadcasts of some of our locally produced programs. "The Campbell Conversations" and "Take Care" will be heard between 6 and 7 a.m. on Saturdays (replacing "Marketplace Weekend," which will be moving). "The Campbell Conversations" and "Take Care" will continue to be heard at 6 and 6:30 p.m. on Sundays, respectively.

"Marketplace Weekend" is moving! It will still be heard on Saturday, it will just be at 4 p.m. (instead of 6 a.m.) Business news on "Marketplace Weekend" is replacing "Day 6," which will be dropped from the schedule.

To complement the Saturday morning adjustment with locally produced programming, we'll have an additional broadcast of "HealthLink on Air" at 6 a.m. on Sundays. That change will displace "Fresh Air Weekend" -- but you'll be able to hear it one hour later at 7 a.m. "Fresh Air Weekend" replaces "Prime Time Radio," which is being dropped from the schedule (they ceased production earlier in 2015).

We're also adding a program that is completely new to our listeners -- "Reveal." It's an investigative series from PRX that's available weekly starting in 2016. You'll hear "Reveal" at 2 p.m. Saturdays, replacing "Snap Judgment."

In short, we're adding more broadcasts of our locally produced shows "The Campbell Conversations," "Take Care" and "HealthLink on Air," and introducing "Reveal." "Snap Judgment," "Day 6" and "Prime Time Radio" are all dropping from the schedule. "Marketplace Weekend" and "Fresh Air Weekend" are relocating.
