School District Faces Lawsuit for Allegedly Failing to Protect Gay Student

Syracuse, NY – The New York Civil Liberties Union has filed a federal lawsuit against the Mohawk Central School District in Herkimer County -- alleging that school officials failed to protect a 14-year old gay student. For almost two-years, the plaintiff, identified only as Jacob, said he has faced relentless harassment, physical abuse and even death threats.
