About David Allen Sibley
Sibley was only seven when he began drawing birds. The self-taught artist has grown to become one of America’s best-known field guide authors, painstakingly drawing what he sees in the field (first in pencil, then in opaque watercolor paints). The most recent edition of Sibley’s bird guide included 600 completely new images, 111 additional species and more than 3,000 revisions.
Sibley is one of a long line of artist-naturalists leading straight back to John James Audubon himself. Join WRVO as we draw upon his expertise and devotion at the Links in East Syracuse this June. Tickets are $20 per person and include dinner and the presentation.
