People at a party on Syracuse's Near West Side run after shots were fired Sunday night

The Syracuse Police Department has released a video from the Father's Day shooting that happened over the weekend where a police officer fired her gun and one man was shot and killed.

The video starts with a large crowd of party-goers running frantically away. The video appears to show a woman in uniform, presumably Officer Kelsey Francemone running towards the chaos. Francemone is the officer Syracuse Police said fired her weapon.

Police sources said the video appears to show two people, potentially with guns, creep up behind Francemone before scattering in different directions. Police sources also said two more figures that come into the picture appear to be firing guns in the direction of Francemone. Police have said previously that four different weapons were fired that night. The investigation is still open.

The Syracuse Police Department released the footage to the public with the goal of helping to identify witnesses. Police sources said they also hope to dispel the rumor that this was a peaceful event.
