Tuned to Yesterday presents Dragnet at the movies in Auburn

We're bringing the golden age of radio to the silver screen once again -- Tuned to Yesterday "At the Movies" presents "Dragnet." The 1954 feature-length film follows "Dragnet" radio and TV series detectives Joe Friday (Jack Webb) and Frank Smith (Ben Alexander) as they investigate the brutal shotgun murder of a crime syndicate member.

Join us for this special movie event on Wednesday, April 22 at 7 p.m. at Auburn Public Theater. Doors open around 6:30 that evening. After the movie, you are welcome to stay for a reception at the theater catered by Mesa Grande Taqueria. The entire event, movie and reception, is free.

A presentation proceeds the film in which host and producer of Tuned to Yesterday, Mark Lavonier, will guide you through the genesis of "Dragnet" through star and creator Jack Webb's radio journey, the medium in which "Dragnet" debuted.

There will also be a drawing at the end of the movie to win some prizes/gift certificates from local vendors.

Have questions? Call (315) 312-3690, or email Mark Lavonier.
