WRVO Transmitter Work

Thursday and Friday workers will be on site to reinforce WRVO's main transmitting tower.  The work involves upgrading the bracing on the tower.

The work will be performed in close proximity to the main and backup transmission antennas which will require us to significantly reduce power and possibly go off the air completely.  Such reductions are required to protect the health and wellness of the workers on the tower.

While efforts are made to minimize disruptions in our broadcast service, there will be periods of time in which the following signals will be silent:  Oswego (89.9),  Geneva (90.7), Cortland (90.5), Hamilton (90.1 and 92.3). Weather permitting, work will be performed between noon and 4pm.

Other relays in Syracuse (90.3), Watertown (91.7 and 99.9), and Utica (91.9) will continue to function as well as web streams available on this website and via our mobile apps.

Update: Work has been canceled on Wednesday January 18th
