The Rome Area Chamber of Commerce yesterday hosted a debate between the candidates for the new 22nd Congressional district, incumbent Republican Congressman Richard Hanna and Democrat challenger Dan Lamb. The district stretches from the eastern portion of Oswego county down through Binghamton.

Cuomo to start campaigning on behalf of other candidates

Governor Andrew Cuomo says he will soon be hitting the campaign trail... for other candidates. While the governor is not up for reelection himself until 2016, at a cabinet meeting Monday in Albany, Cuomo said that with this year's election just over two weeks away, endorsements and campaign events to get out the vote matter.

No plans yet for Cuomo to campaign for congressional candidates

Governor Andrew Cuomo doesn’t have any set plans to bring his sky-high approval rating to a tight central New York congressional race.

Cuomo said during a visit in Syracuse on Tuesday that he’ll be making endorsements soon. But he doesn’t know yet if he’ll be campaigning for Democratic candidate Dan Maffei.
