Third Coast Audio Festival

Join us for two consecutive weekends in January for the best of the 2016 Third Coast Festival on WRVO. 

Back with their "Best of the Best" broadcast, Third Coast features winners of the annual documentary competition. From more than 500 entries, 10 were chosen as winners. Meticulously crafted and lovingly produced, these stories will intrigue, inform and insire.

This year's program features powerful, important stories dealing with issues that might not be suitable for young listeners.

We're airing the third season of Re:sound in May. You can join us each Sunday at 7 p.m. and you won't miss an episode! Re:sound presents unforgettable audio stories curated from all over the world. Each episode explores a new theme through a variety of lenses, a refreshing mix of storytelling styles and joyful use of sound.

Join us this Sunday on Public Radio Presents for Re:sound -- The Hearing Show, from the Third Coast Audio Festival. 

This hour we listen in on hearing -- a complex system of circuitry that is vulnerable to all sorts of interruptions, misfires and breakdowns. Stories include: "The Rest Is Silence" by Brian Calvert, "Signal To Noise" by Paolo Pietropaolo, "5-7-5" by Flo Neve, and "The Extractor" by Jonathan Mitchell.

Re:sound - The 'If You Build It' Show

This Sunday night on Public Radio Presents, Re:sound -- The "If You Build It" Show, from the Third Coast Audio Festival.

This hour they built it and we see who came, including stories of Clyde Casey, a street performer who used abstract art to fight street crime; a peculiar eight-story high mansion in the trees; and the remnants of Sutro Baths, a palatial indoor swimming pool and amusement park built in 1898.
