Bad weather and birth rates

Oswego, New York – Heavy Snowfall is nothing new for Oswego County...and history tells us good things actually can come from bad weather.

Human Papilloma Virus vaccine

Oswego, New York – Health Officials say the Human Papilloma Virus also known as H-P-V is a sexually transmitted disease that causes 70-percent of cervical cancers.

Recently the H-P-V vaccination has been made mandatory for schoolgirls in Texas. More than a dozen other states are considering similar legislation including New York. WRVO's Jasmyn Belcher spoke with New York Democratic Assemblywoman Amy Paulin of Westchester County. She says the vaccine should be available.

Composing for "Lost in a Viral Paradise"

Onondaga 19 Law

Civil Confinement Challenged

Oswego, NY – The advocacy group, "Mental Hygiene Legal Services successfully filed a lawsuit that argued 12 convicted sex offenders, who had served their prison sentences, were denied due process when the Pataki administration ordered them held in a psychiatric facility.
