Jefferson County jail crowding getting worse as other jails fill up, too

WATERTOWN, NY – Local jails are filling up as crime continues to rise. In Jefferson County, that's causing an expensive problem.

The county is spending money to house some of its inmates in jails in other counties. But those jails are filling up, too.

WRVO Watertown Correspondent Joanna Richards explains what's being done about the problem.
