NY Republican Congressman Stresses McCain's National Security Policies

By Chris Ulanowski

Oswego, NY – Long Island Congressman Peter King addressed New York delegates Tuesday at the Republican National Convention.

King stressed national security and McCain's readiness to be commander in chief, according to central New York delegate Jim DiBlasi.

King also commented on Sarah Palin's strengths at the McCain VP pick, including her knowledge of energy policy and her attention to lower taxes. DiBlasi said that lower property taxes are important to New Yorkers.

"She cut [property taxes] right off the bat when she became governor," noted DiBlasi.
