By Jasmyn Belcher

Oswego, NY – Members of a Syracuse-based National Guard unit have passed their halfway point in their deployment to Afghanistan.

Among those serving is a teacher from Oswego. WRVO's Jasmyn Belcher had a chance to check in with Major Ben Richardson of the New York National Guard's 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. He is the team chief for the Bagram Airfield Police Mentor Team in Afghanistan.
