128th Assembly District --
Syracuse Common Councilor Pamela Hunter is the winner of the Democrat primary for the open 128th Assembly seat in Onondaga County. Hunter won more votes than fellow Common Councilor Jean Kessner and former Onondaga County Legislator David Stott to represent the Democrats in the general election in November.
Hunter will run against Republican John Sharon, who is running for this seat for the fourth time.
Democrat Sam Roberts resigned his position as the Assemblyman for the 128th District to take a job in Gov. Andrew Cuomo's administration.
Hunter was endorsed by the democrat party. Democrats outnumber Republicans in the district by about 2 to 1.

Watertown Mayor --
Watertown's non-partisan primary came down to the wire. Incumbent Mayor Jeff Graham and city Councilman Joe Butler won the highest number of votes and will move on to the general election in November. Councilman Stephen Jennings came in third. Butler edged out long-time Mayor Graham by just one vote, according to the unofficial results.
