Auburn Public Theater

Auburn Public Theater (APT) is a non-profit, multi-venue performing arts center that celebrates diverse voices and artistic expression. APT enriches the social, cultural, and economic growth of central New York by bringing people together through affordable access to live music, comedy and theater, as well as cinema, arts education, and community events. The venue features a 199-seat main stage theater, as well as 75 seats Stage Right. This summer, explore Cafe 108, APT’s new café featuring healthy, local fare and whose profits directly benefit the theater. By providing a top-notch, intimate venue for artists and audiences, the theater makes worldly performance art a common local experience and offers something for everyone in a space where all are welcome.

Cayuga Museum

The Cayuga Museum engages the public with the phenomenal cultures, innovators, and creators who shaped the history of Cayuga County and the nation. The Museum operates in three historic sites, each with a distinct focus: the Willard-Case Mansion, where the collection and stories of the past are shared through exhibits, the Case Research Lab, where sound film was introduced to the world, and the Carriage House Theater, a multi-use performance space and one of the earliest recording sites for sound film.

CNY Land Trust

Since 1973, when it was known as "Save the County," the CNY Land Trust has helped protect the natural beauty of Central New York. The organization has been saving unique landscapes of Central New York for more than 50 years.

Today, the CNY Land Trust cares for over 4,200 acres across 56 nature preserves spanning six counties, with more on the way. 18 of the Land Trust's nature preserves are open for the public to explore trails and enjoy time in the outdoors. The organization also hosts community events and works with partners across Central New York to create natural spaces that are free and accessible to all.

CNY Land Trust preserves can be found throughout the region, making it easy for both visitors and locals to get outside, no matter where they're coming from. The organization's headquarters are located at the old farmhouse at the Woodchuck Hill Field & Forest Preserve in Fayetteville. Woodchuck Hill features an easy, family-friendly 1-mile loop trail in the woods, as well as a brand new .6-mile meadow trail.

The CNY Land Trust is dedicated to keeping Central New York vibrant, wild, and healthy - for this generation and the next.

Doug's Fish Fry

Started in Skaneateles, Doug's Fish Fry has been serving since 1982. Their seafood is delivered by truck on crushed ice five days per week. The menu offers seafood, chicken, grilled items, steamed clams and lobsters, beer, wine and ice cream. Doug's Dipping Sauce is also available in a convenient take-home size at the Skaneateles or Cortland locations, at The Great New York State Fair, and online.

Earlville Opera House

Earlville Opera House, Inc. was founded in 1972 as a not-for-profit, volunteer-based, community service organization promoting the arts in a rural region of central New York by offering programs of cultural, educational, and historical significance; and preserving and restoring the architectural and historic integrity of the Earlville Opera House, a unique second-story theater constructed in 1892. Key EOH programs include a wide range of culturally diverse visual and performing arts programs represented through rotating gallery exhibitions; a superb live performance series; arts workshops; classes and arts education opportunities; and grants to artists and arts organizations. EOH was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 and celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2022.

Equal Rights Heritage Center

The NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center is the official welcome center for the City of Auburn, NY. It serves to shine a light on New York’s equal rights heritage, as well as, the historical, cultural, and entertainment assets the City of Auburn has to offer in a welcoming and educational manner. It features an “I Love NY” exhibition titled "Seeing Equal Rights in NYS" where New York State's progressive history supporting equality comes to life through digital displays. This tourism hub also offers free Wi-Fi, public restrooms, “I Love NY” trip-planning kiosks and regionally sourced products in the Taste NY Market. Guests can relax on the green space or admire the bronze statue of Harriet Tubman in the courtyard. Join us this summer for the Downtown Auburn Saturday Market from June 28 through August 23, featuring live music, children’s activities and entertainment, food and beverage producers, artisans, crafters, and more. Programs are free and open to the public.

Erie Canal Museum

Commemorating the bicentennial of the Erie Canal, the Erie Canal Museum in downtown Syracuse showcases the last remaining Weighlock Building and engages the public in the transformative story of the Erie Canal through original artifacts, interactive displays, and public programs. The Museum is open seven days a week with a pay-what-you-can admission ($12 suggested).

Finger Lakes Land Trust

The Finger Lakes Land Trust was founded in 1989 to protect the region’s forests, farmlands, gorges, and shorelines. The Land Trust has saved over 34,000 acres of land by creating public nature preserves and helping landowners conserve their beloved properties. Their conservation work is designed to benefit everyone who lives or travels to the region. 45 nature preserves are open to the public, free of charge for anyone who wants to explore, attend events, and help build more trails this summer.

Fort Hill Cemetery

Steeped in history, Fort Hill Cemetery is a must for history buffs and Underground Railroad enthusiasts. The cemetery is the final resting place for Harriet Tubman, William Henry Seward, Theodore Case, Martha Coffin Wright, and other notable historical figures. Fort Hill was used by the local Indigenous Americans in the 16th century as a fortified hill, and is regarded as one of the best-preserved fortified villages of the Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫʼ (Cayuga) Nation. The cemetery is also home to the iconic Chief Logan Monument. Open year-round from dawn till dusk, Fort Hill is easy to navigate by car or foot. Spend a day or just a few hours exploring this bucolic cemetery located in the heart of the City of Auburn.

Geneva Light Opera

Geneva Light Opera presents fully staged performances of Giuseppe Verdi’s comic opera “Falstaff,” based on Shakespeare’s “Merry Wives of Windsor,” at the Smith Opera House in Geneva, New York, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 24, and at 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, July 26 and 27. Baritone Robert Mellon stars as the bombastic Sir John Falstaff, with Christian Capocaccia conducting and dramatic coloratura soprano Alexis Olinyk as one of the “Merry Wives” and prize-winning baritone Bryan Murray as her jealous husband. English supertitles are projected during the live performances so that Shakespeare’s humor, brilliantly translated into Italian by librettist Arrigo Boito, may be enjoyed by all. Tickets range from $20 to $150 and are available on the website and at the door.

Glimmerglass Festival

The Glimmerglass Festival is a world-renowned summer opera and musical theater festival in Cooperstown, NY. With a rich history spanning five decades, the Festival presents a diverse repertoire of productions, showcasing the talents of emerging and established artists. The Festival’s exhilarating 50th anniversary season centers on artists and creators, celebrates opera and musical theater legends, and introduces a thrilling world premiere opera based on a beloved book. 2025 productions include "Tosca" (Puccini/Illica & Giacosa), "Sunday in The Park With George" (Sondheim/Sondheim & Lapine), "The Rake’s Progress" (Stravinsky/Auden & Kallman), and the world premiere of "The House on Mango Street" (Bermel/Cisneros), based on the classic book. The Festival is also proud to bring the acclaimed youth production of "Odyssey" (Moore/Rourke) to the Alice Busch Opera Theater.

Great Camp Sagamore

Great Camp Sagamore, nestled in the Adirondack Mountains of New York, is a National Historic Landmark that once served as a wilderness retreat for the Vanderbilt family. Built between 1895 and 1897 by William West Durant, it embodies the rustic elegance of the Gilded Age. Since being saved in 1975 by the New York Preservation League, the camp has been owned, stewarded, and operated by 501 (c)(3) nonprofit Sagamore Institute of the Adirondacks. The organization welcomes guests to camp from May-October offering a variety of multi-night educational programs, retreats, and overnight stays as well as day activities, historical tours, concerts, & presentations.

The Great New York State Fair

From August 20 - September 1, 2025, people from across New York state and beyond will come together to experience an affordable, 13-day celebration of delicious food, eye-opening exhibits, captivating entertainment, great fun, and the very best of New York agriculture. This year’s Great New York State Fair will showcase numerous animals, hundreds of commercial attractions, scores of exciting midway rides, and dozens of big-name entertainers. Don't forget that attendance to The Fair's world-class concerts and award-winning grounds entertainment are included with your price of admission!

H. Lee White Maritime Museum

As the only maritime museum on the U.S. side of Lake Ontario, the museum offers unique maritime and waterfront experiences including the National Historic Landmark, WWII Tug, LT-5, the National Register canal barge, Derrick Boat 8, the last U.S. commercial fishing boat, Eleanor D and a collection of paintings, models and shipwreck artifacts telling the story of over 400 years of history. In addition, the museum serves as the steward of the National Register Oswego West Pierhead Lighthouse, offering boat tours to the lighthouse in the summer. Harriet Tubman National Historical Park

Harriet Tubman was guided by deep faith and devotion to family, freedom, and community. After emancipating herself and members of her family from slavery, Tubman moved them to Auburn/Fleming in 1860. Central New York was a hub for progressive thought, abolition, and women's suffrage where Tubman continued to fight for human rights and dignity during her 54 years in freedom. The Harriet Tubman Home, Inc. is the nonprofit that manages and operates the homestead of Harriet Tubman, which includes the Harriet Tubman Visitor Center, Tubman Home for the Aged and Infirm Negroes, barn, and residence at 180 South Street. The National Park Service preserves the Thompson Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church and Parsonage at 47-49 Parker Street, where Tubman attended church and from where her funeral was held. Ranger-led programs are available at the Thompson Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Munson

Munson is an internationally recognized fine arts center in Utica, New York, engaging diverse audiences through its renowned Museum of Art, live performances and events, community art classes, and Pratt Munson, the upstate extension campus of the prestigious Pratt Institute. The special exhibition "Celestial Bodies: Sculpture by Karen LaMonte" will be on view from June 27 through December 2025.

Rochester International Jazz Festival

The Rochester International Jazz Festival is one of the world’s leading jazz festivals, presenting legendary performers, familiar favorites, rising stars, and new discoveries from around the world. RIJF is synonymous with Jazz in June when the joy of music brings the world to Rochester, New York. The multi-dimensional nine-day festival presents more than 1750 artists annually from around the world in 285-plus shows at 18 venues. The 2025 edition runs June 20-28. Rudy's Lakeside

Rudy's has been serving Oswego and the surrounding communities since 1946, continuously providing fresh products, cooked to order as you watch. Open from around St. Patrick's Day through Columbus Day, Rudy's offers both indoor and outdoor seating on the beautiful shore of Lake Ontario. The drive in is a perfect spot for fresh fish and casual family fun.

Schweinfurth Art Center

Schweinfurth Art Center is a multi-arts facility in Auburn that hosts more than a dozen exhibitions a year in its three galleries, runs an internationally known quilting conference, offers fine arts classes for all ages, and sells unique items in its gift shop. The Schweinfurth’s classes include painting, drawing, ceramics, and sewing, and the art center is internationally known for its focus on fiber arts, including a juried quilt show every year considered one of the top five in the country.

Seward House Museum

Visit the historic home of William Henry Seward and his family. Serving as a State Senator, Governor of New York, US Senator, and Secretary of State during the Lincoln and Johnson administrations, Seward was one of the foremost politicians of 19th century America. The Museum provides guided tours to help visitors navigate the many fascinating aspects of this beautifully preserved home, which also houses one of the largest original collections in the United States. Seymour Library

Since 1903, Seymour Library has been housed in the historic Case Memorial Building. On the National Register of Historic Places, this monumental stone building was designed by the New York City firm, Carrere and Hastings, designers of the New York Public Library. Today, the library serves as the community’s hub of learning and discovery. Explore new interests with a range of resources and programs for all ages. The library’s History Discovery Center provides research assistance to those seeking local history and genealogical information. Programs are free and open to the public.

Singer Castle on Dark Island

A part of American history and local folklore, Singer Castle on Dark Island is located on the St. Lawrence Seaway. Tour the unique history of the hunting lodge of Commodore Frederick Gilbert Bourne. See many of the secret passages and speculate their use! Forty-five-minute guided tours are scheduled throughout the day and include the great hall, library, breakfast room, terrace, bedrooms and even the fourth-floor dormitory. Canadian rates are available.

Skaneateles Antique & Classic Boat Show

The 46th Antique & Classic Boat Show hosted by the Skaneateles Foundation and the Finger Lakes Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boating Society is scheduled for July 26-28. The Boat Show features water and land displays along with three concerts, a boat parade (3:15 p.m. Saturday), an aerial photoshoot and spectator cruise (10 a.m. Sunday aboard the Judge Ben Wiles), demos, shopping, raffles, and more. The Skaneateles Foundation looks forward to bringing back activities for families this year. More information is available online.

Skaneateles Chamber of Commerce

Skaneateles is hosting an array of unique events throughout the summer season, including the Skaneateles Library annual library book sale July 11-14, and the Curbstone Festival and sidewalk sales with outdoor shopping, great bargains and balloon art, July 11 through 13. Skaneateles Festival | World Class Music By The Lake

The Skaneateles Festival is a dynamic 4-week summer music festival providing intimate access to the world’s best music in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region. For 46 years, the Festival has brought some of the world’s most talented musicians to perform on their stage, with the hope of building community and enduring friendships through music. The Skaneateles Festival presents live classical, jazz, opera, and bluegrass music.

The 2025 season features Béla Fleck, Esperanza Spalding, The Bill Charlap Trio, Mark and Maggie O’Connor, Nicholas Phan, the Calidore String Quartet, and more! What started as small chamber concerts in the Skaneateles Library soon moved to community members' homes and backyards due to its growing popularity and community involvement. Today, the Festival has expanded and built the Robinson Pavilion at Anyela's Vineyards which holds up to 1400 patrons for Saturday Night concerts. Thursday and Friday night concerts are held at the First Presbyterian Church in the village of Skaneateles. Come Experience Brilliance with a night at the Festival — in the vineyard, under the stars, by the lake, or in the warm glow of the sanctuary.

Stone Quarry Art Park, in Cazenovia, located just 20 miles southeast of Syracuse, is a contemporary outdoor art space that provides public access to four miles of trails, outdoor art, and a mid-century modern artist home. An ever-changing outdoor art gallery, Stone Quarry works with visiting artists to shape and re-shape the landscape of Stone Quarry Hill through a variety of interdisciplinary art practices. Stone Quarry is open every day of the year from dawn to dusk. Admission is pay-what-you-wish with a suggested donation of $5 per person — everybody is welcome. Sycamore Hill Gardens

Once a dairy farm, Sycamore Hill Gardens has transformed into 35 acres of botanical beauty in Central New York's Finger Lakes Region. Guests can ramble through 30 acres of flowering trees, shrubs, and perennials, visit 25-year-old koi, and enjoy large open spaces perfect for frolicking and cartwheels. The gardens feature unique collections including rare conifers and plenty of spots for daydreaming or napping.

Syracuse Arts & Crafts Festival

The 54th Annual Syracuse Arts & Crafts Festival is a three-day showcase of the country's most talented artists, craftspeople and entertainers. The festival provides opportunities for visitors to experience the vibrancy of Downtown Syracuse through a presentation of visual and performing arts that demonstrate diverse art forms and cultures. Enjoy a variety of music, multicultural performances, summer refreshments and participatory activities from July 25-27. Presenting sponsors are M&T Bank and the Downtown Committee of Syracuse.

Syracuse Mets

The Syracuse Mets are a professional Minor League Baseball team based in Syracuse, New York. As the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, they play their home games at the state-of-the-art NBT Bank Stadium, located at 1 Tex Simone Drive. The REV Theatre Company

Headquartered in Auburn, NY, The REV Theatre Company is an award-winning arts organization committed to creating theatrical experiences at the highest levels of artistic integrity. The Stickley Museum

The Stickley Museum is housed on the top floor of the original L. & J.G. Stickley factory. From 1900 to 1985, this building was used to produce Stickley furniture. In the former finishing room is an exhibition space that tells the story of America’s most legendary furniture companies. The display spans over a century of Stickley history: beginning with the Mission aesthetic of the early 1900s, to the Cherry Valley Collection debuting in the 1920s and culminating with modern Stickley. The museum also boasts a display of Gustav Stickley’s own bedroom set as well as pieces of Stickley Mission that were once owned by Barbra Streisand. The museum is free and open to the public on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from May 1 through October 1.

The Syracuse Orchestra

The Syracuse Orchestra is the professional orchestra serving Syracuse and Central New York. The orchestra performs nearly 50 full orchestra concerts each year, and dozens of additional performances in schools, libraries, community centers, and health care facilities. The Syracuse Orchestra also operates the Syracuse Youth Orchestra, a program comprised of three youth orchestras serving over 150 kids from ages 8-22. Thousand Islands Arts Center

Thousand Islands Arts Center is a nonprofit educational institution concerned with preserving the skills of traditional artists and artisans and supporting the heritage arts. The Arts Center maintains a year-round arts curriculum, a permanent textile collection and library, and two dedicated studios for weaving and pottery. The Arts Center also organizes additional educational programs, an annual conference, and several yearly exhibitions for the public. The Arts Center’s goal is to sustain and grow this resource for artists, students, and the broader community while developing awareness, fostering skills, and building appreciation for the heritage arts.

View Center for Arts and Culture

View is a dynamic arts center based in the Adirondack region. Throughout the year, four galleries host dozens of exhibitions ranging from local artists to international shows such as View’s signature exhibit, the "Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors." Gould Hall is a "jewel" of a performance space, with excellent acoustics and retractable stadium seats, making it ideal for concerts and theatrical productions while also accommodating major events, conferences, and weddings. In the workshop and pottery studio, skilled artisans teach a variety of classes and pass on their knowledge to everyone from experienced artists to people who just want to learn a new hobby. During the summer, View hosts "Family Drop-ins" Tuesday through Friday, where everyone can make a memory by working on quick artistic projects together. With year-round exhibitions, events, performances, and workshops, View has something for everyone to love.

Willard Memorial Chapel

Labeled as the "Tiffany Treasure of the Finger Lakes,” Willard Memorial Chapel is the only complete and unaltered Tiffany chapel known to exist in the world in its original location. Built in 1892-1894, the interior of the chapel was designed and handcrafted entirely by the Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company of New York City for the Auburn Theological Seminary. Visit the Total Tiffany chapel for hourly tours Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. this summer. The chapel is also a National Historic Landmark used for weddings, concerts and special events.
