political advertisement

This election season seems to feature more than the usual amount of negative ads, with television spots painting opponents in a dark light. But an ad that criticized a candidate’s choice of football team may have backfired when controversy arose over a picture that was altered to cut out his son.

Viewers of the most recent Buffalo Bills game saw an ad, sponsored by Erie County Democrats, that criticized Republican candidate Rob Astorino for being a Miami Dolphins fan.

Governor Andrew Cuomo is not running for office this year, but his face and name are still appearing in election mailers in many New York homes.  That is because state lawmakers from both parties running for reelection are using the popular governor’s image in their campaign literature.

Congressman Richard Hanna has released his first television ad in his re-election bid. The Republican incumbent is running against Democrat Dan Lamb.

A political ad is making waves in the race for the 24th congressional district. At issue, is a piece of legislation regarding federal funding for abortion, specifically the language regarding rape victims who want an abortion.
